How do I respond to the Absence Notifications I receive for Unexplained Absences?
Unexplained Absence Notifications

In this article we will review the steps taken when viewing and responding to Absence Notifications received through My Family Room.

When you receive a notification that your child has been marked absent and the school does not have a reason for the absence, you can respond to the notification through the My Family Room website or App.

You can choose to indicate that the absence is expected and provide a reason.  You may also note if the absence is for the entire school day.

How to Respond

Immediately after you log in to your My Family Room Account, you will see a section called "Action Items"; from the app you can select the notification and submit your response, from the website you can select your response directly under the notification.

If you select Yes, you can then provide a reason for the absence.

If you select No, the absence is not expected, you will be prompted to contact the school.
