How do I sign up for My Family Room?
How to Sign Up!

Anyone can register for a My Family Room account, once your account is created, students are linked to it at the discretion of the student’s School Office Staff. It is at the discretion of the school Principal to determine if a parent who is acting In Loco Parentis are eligible to be linked to a student.  

You can self-register for a My Family Room account by following these steps:  

   1.  Visit MyFamilyRoom.ca or Get and Open the App
   2.  Click on the Sign up button
   3.  Follow instructions to complete the sign up process

If you see the error message "Email already registered!" it means that your email address is already in the system, either because your student's school has entered it or because you have already registered it. To access your account, try resetting your password. If you get the error "Incorrect email address" during the password reset process, it means that your registration is still underway but not yet finished. While it's in progress, you will receive registration emails every month. Please check your email, including the spam folder, for the latest registration email and follow the instructions to complete your account registration.

Sign up via your Child's School

You can also go to your student's school and inform the office administrator that you want to create a My Family Room account. They will ask you to show a photo ID to confirm your identity and provide a valid email address where they will send your My Family Room account activation information. To finish registering your account, click on the activation link in the email sent to the provided email address (you should receive the email within 24 hours, so check your spam or junk mail folders if you don't see it).

Does my partner need an account for My Family Room if I have one?  

You and your partner do not need to have separate accounts, however, you may find having your own accounts beneficial.  

With individual accounts, each of you can customize your contact preferences for communication coming from the Board or your children’s school
