What You Need
To use the Online Payments features, all you need is an accepted payment method. My Family Room uses PayPal to process your transactions, we recommend you use a free PayPal account which is linked to at least one funding source, such as a bank account or credit card to process these transactions, however, you can continue as a guest without creating a PayPal account.
PayPal Account Benefits
There are three main benefits of using a PayPal account instead of continuing as a guest. The benefits are: 1. Users with PayPal accounts are able to request refunds to their PayPal account instead of waiting for a cheque in the mail.
2. PayPal account holders do not have to manually write out card information, their account information is stored 3. PayPal keeps a transaction history.

If you are an “on the go” person, make sure to download the latest My Family Room mobile app from the iOS and Android app stores! This will ensure that you can use all the latest functionality in My Family Room, including Online Payments.

NOTE: When linking your bank account to PayPal, please be aware that some banks can take up to 3-5 days to clear your transaction before the funds are withdrawn from your account. This is not the case when you link a credit card to your PayPal account.
