What You Need
To use the Online Payments features, all you need is an accepted payment method. My Family Room uses PayPal to process your transactions, we recommend you use a free PayPal account which is linked to at least one funding source, such as a bank account or credit card to process these transactions, however, you can continue without creating a PayPal account by clicking on "Pay with a credit or Visa Debit card".
PayPal Account Benefits
There are three main benefits of using a PayPal account instead of continuing as a guest. The benefits are: 1. Users with PayPal accounts are able to request refunds to their PayPal account instead of waiting for a cheque in the mail. 2. PayPal account holders do not have to manually write out card information, their account information is stored 3. PayPal keeps a transaction history. NOTE: When linking your bank account to PayPal, please be aware that some banks can take up to 3-5 days to clear your transaction before the funds are withdrawn from your account. This is not the case when you link a credit card to your PayPal account.
